Tuesday 1st December 2015 10:15 - Tuesday 1st December 2015 15:45

Public Service Broadcasting - Future Uncertain?

BBC Trust Chairman Rona Fairhead will be the keynote speaker, At this crucial time in the BBC’s history she says "I can’t think of many more important organisations to work for than the BBC. It remains one of the great British institutions, respected around the world and much loved at home. It is a huge privilege to be able to represent the interests of audiences and to help ensure the BBC maintains its reputation for quality and innovation, its editorial independence, and its critical role in supporting the UK creative sector as a whole."

We are delighted that Lord Burns, outgoing Chairman of Channel 4, will speak about the serious challenges facing Channel 4.   Alan Davey, Controller BBC Radio 3 will speak about his network and the BBC’s wider remit within music and arts in this country. Our regular Three Wise People panel exploring the latest concerns in the Charter Review debate will include Tim Suter and Claire Enders.  Session chairs are Robin Lustig, Steve Hewlett, Maggie Brown and Raymond Snoddy.  Look at VLV’s website for updates.

The conference will be followed by VLV's Annual General Meeting - for members only.
