VLV welcomes Lord Hall's appointment as Director-General of the BBC

Voice of the Listener & Viewer believes that Lord Hall of Birkenhead has the right credentials for the job as Director-General.  It is a hugely challenging task in the present circumstances.  VLV wishes him well in restoring licence payers’ trust and confidence.

An update and reminder that Lord Patten of Barnes CH, Chairman of the BBC Trust, will give the Keynote Speech – The BBC – where we go from here? -  at Voice of the Listener & Viewer’s 29th Autumn Conference - on Monday 26 November 2012.  Journalist and broadcaster Raymond Snoddy will chair the session giving VLV members and conference delegates a unique opportunity to ask Lord Patten questions directly about the difficult issues facing the BBC.
