VLV response to BBC Scheduling row

‘Viewers and listeners in the UK have benefited hugely from a rich and competitive broadcasting sector. The BBC has played a key role in this and must be allowed to continue to do so. Provided that it continues to produce quality programmes, including popular entertainment, to meet the diverse range of interests of its licence payers, the BBC should be free to schedule these programmes to suit the needs of its audiences’.
