Now in their 33rd year, the VLV Awards for Excellence in Broadcasting were held on 30th April 2025 at The Geological Society in central London presented by broadcaster and impressionist Jon Culshaw and broadcaster, former BBC Director and VLV Patron, Helen Boaden.
We were delighted to see so many of the winners at the ceremony, including; Fiona Bruce, Lyse Doucet, Steve Punt and Hugh Dennis of The Now Show, the teams behind Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl and Mr Bates Versus the Post Office and Desert Island Discs – plus special guests from Super Surgeons: A Chance at Life and Surgeons: A Matter of Life or Death[ programmes which showcase cutting edge healthcare, and who both jointly took home our Naomi Sargant award.
Celebrating television and audio that contributed to broadcasting excellence in 2024, the awards are nominated and voted for by VLV’s members, the listeners and viewers, making them all the more meaningful to those broadcasters who receive them.
