VLV held its Spring Conference 2022 online on Wednesday 27th April.
Session One: Tim Davie, Director General of the BBC
Tim Davie CBE was the first speaker at the VLV Spring Conference in a session chaired by Janine Gibson of The Financial Times. Session Three: Gillian Reynolds in conversation with Jim Naughtie
Our final session was with critic and doyenne of radio Gillian Reynolds CBE in conversation with broadcaster James Naughtie.
Radio has been a part of Gillian’s life since the day she heard war being declared in 1939 on her family’s radio set. She is passionate about the power of radio to inspire, enthuse and entertain audiences. She believes it is a magical medium. This session provided an opportunity to hear from one of Britain’s most eloquent champions of radio in conversation with one of the country’s most renowned broadcasters. A true delight.
